Mascotas makes soft, thoughtfully designed clothing for small dogs and the people who love them. Our pieces are made for everyday life: morning walks, café stops, travel days and quiet evenings at home.
Mascota means “pet” in Spanish. To us, the word has always meant something closer to family, and that feeling is behind everything we make.
Why we started Mascotas
We started Mascotas in 2024. because so much dog clothing felt stiff, synthetic, costume-like or simply the wrong fit for small dogs. We wanted pieces designed around how a dog feels as much as how a dog looks: soft against the coat, easy to move in, warm when the weather turns, and good-looking enough for real daily life.
How we design
Every Mascotas piece starts with the same four principles:
• Comfort first. Soft fabrics and an easy fit, so your dog can walk, sit and play without feeling restricted.
• Made for small breeds. We design for small and small-to-medium dogs such as Chihuahuas, Yorkies, Shih Tzus, Maltese and Pomeranians.
• Warmth when it’s needed. Knits, jackets and vests for cooler days; lighter cotton pieces for everyday wear.
• Fewer, better pieces. Clean, modern designs made to be worn often and loved for a long time.
The materials we choose
Comfort starts with fabric, so we are careful about what we use and how we describe it.
Peruvian Pima cotton
Many of our everyday shirts, polos and hoodies are made with organic Peruvian Pima cotton, a long-fiber cotton we chose for its smooth, soft feel. Shop Peruvian Pima cotton dog clothes.
Baby alpaca
The knits in our Baby Alpaca Cloud Capsule are made with baby alpaca from Peru (100% baby apaca), for lightweight warmth on colder days.
Jackets and the Essential Vest
For wind and cooler walks, our jackets and outerwear and our best-selling Essential Vest add a protective layer.
